It is 65 days to the Cubs begin their 2008 season. I am already getting fired up. The Cubs have released their lineup for opening day.
1. Sorriano LF
2. Theriot (Jenn's Favorite) - SS
3. Lee - 1B
4. Ramirez - 3B
5. Fukudome - RF (Yes you say it like it is written)
6. DeRosa - 2B
7. Soto - C
8. Pie - CF
9. Lily - P
I like this lineup. I think Fukudome can bat anywhere from 2nd to 5th. I would like to see The Riot leadoff and let Sorriano work down in the lineup. I hope they play better than last year. There were times they looked like the best team in baseball and some times they looked like a minor league club. Lou has a chance to get them to the top. The NL Central is watered down. St. Louis is rebuilding, Houston is trying to make a move but they are a little bit away. Milw. has a good club, but their pitching is suspect. Head to Head the Cubs were 9-6 against the Brew Crew. They need that kind of record against all NL Central teams.
Coach- You are setting yourself up for disappointment once again. I always thought Cub fans were smart enough to wait longer in the year before they get fired up because they know their Cubs will let them down. Come on Coach, I thought you were better than that.
