Not a whole lot going on in my world these days...Aside from STRESS about missing the first 2 months of school!!! I'm really trying to stay calm, but all I keep thinking about is total CHAOS when I return in October. October has traditionally been one of my favorite months of school, because my students are "trained" by then...meaning they generally know all rules and procedures, and a good stern "look" usually puts them in their place.
I'm trying to figure out just exactly what information to leave for my long-term sub (assuming they actually do find one for me), and whether the person will be competent enough to carry out the necessary duties! For those of you who may not already know, I'm a bit of a control-freak when it comes to my classroom and students. My motto is "Students thrive on structure and order!"
So now, instead of them being trained by October, I guess I'll have to shoot for Christmas Break! Wish me luck! {sigh}
