Happy Easter!

We had a fairly uneventful Easter weekend around here…which is just fine with me!  I didn’t have to work on Friday, and girly went to stay with Grammy and Pops.  This worked out well since we were having a security system installed Friday afternoon.  Daddy went and picked her up Saturday afternoon.  She was up not too early on Sunday, but with plenty of time for a bath and some Easter primping.  I didn’t get too many good pictures of her in her Easter dress, but oh well. :)

Here’s a little of our Easter…

This is the best I got of the Easter dress. That sweater she is wearing is a newborn 0-3 month size!  She wore it last Easter and several times before that. caddy easter 2010

Checking out her goodies…this is a neat little mp3 boombox with kiddie songs.  You can even upload your own music.  Looks like I’ll be hitting iTunes for some Wiggles songs!caddy easter basket 1

I’ve been learning how to use some Photoshop actions.  Here’s a little of my experimentation…caroline red ball tryptich_edited-1

Here are the Easter cards I designed…but failed to order and mail! :)  I wouldn’t have been able to decide which ones to order, anyway…blue yellow easter card_edited-1

On a separate note, I just have to get this out of my system…I’ve been pretty bothered all afternoon about some sad news.  A high school classmate of mine (and his wife) were killed in a motorcycle/vehicle accident yesterday.  I hadn’t seen Bo since high school, but we were Facebook friends.  He was a funny kid…always goofing around to make people laugh.  That’s why I was surprised and impressed to learn (through FB) that we was an Army combat veteran.  He got married a few years ago and had two stepdaughters.  His FB “status updates” were often of a patriotic or spiritual nature.  I looked forward to reading what he had to say.  Now he’s gone.  I’m glad to have something like Facebook that keeps me in touch with old friends, but I’m beginning to realize that I should actually make the time and effort to meet up with them face-to-face.  You never know when it’ll be too late. ::sigh::

  1. Happy Easter!

    I'm so sorry to hear about the loss of your friend. The good thing about FB is that we are able to connect with people we haven't spoken to in years. You may not realize the purpose for reconnecting with him now but I'm sure there was a reason for it.

    {hugs}
