Milestones…

Caroline’s birthday is not until this Friday, but we are basically having a birthday WEEK! We took her for a BIG surprise this past Sunday (a separate post is coming all about that), yesterday she was fitted for and we bought her first pairs of tap and ballet shoes and today was both her first haircut and the first time she’s spent the night at Nana and Pawpaw’s (my mom and step-dad). She practically lives part-time with  my in-laws, spending almost every Friday night with them, but this is the first time she’s stayed overnight with anyone but us or Grammy and Pops. She had the best time playing at their house before I left, and when I talked to my mom tonight, things were going GREAT! They are just over an hour away, so there won’t be any late-night trips to pick her up if she freaks out. They are bringing her home tomorrow evening and we are going out to eat. Since big sis is having a sleepover, Grammy and Pops thought it would be a good time for little sis to have her first sleepover at their house. This is the first time in 4 months that we have been completely kid-free!! :) So what did we do? Went out and shopped for Caroline’s “big” birthday present…a Hello Kitty bicycle!!

And even though I have a meeting tomorrow, I’m just so excited knowing I only have MYSELF to wake, clean, groom, dress and feed before leaving the house!! :)
