This past Saturday, while I was off having a little girls’ day shopping excursion, Caroline was starting to come down with a little bit of “something”. She ran a low-ish fever (between 100-102) and had a rattling cough Saturday night and most of Sunday, so I decided to keep her home on Monday. Of course, by Monday morning (after I’d already called in to work) her fever was gone. She was still a little puny, so I didn’t feel too bad about keeping her home. We made the most of the morning. After she came with me to school to make copies and lay out lesson plans, we went to Wal-Mart for an oil change in the car and to finish shopping for our Angel Tree angels. Also, last night was Caroline’s first night sleeping in just panties, instead of a pull-up!! It was her idea and she was completely DRY when I woke her this morning. She is such a BIG girl these days! As a “surprise”, we bought a DVD with all the classic Christmas TV specials, like Rudolph and Frosty.
Here are some highlights of our “quality time”/sick day at home.
Now we’re waiting for lunch, to make “piggies in blankies”, as Caroline calls them. I’m going to try a WW-friendly version…turkey lil’ smokies wrapped with pieces of reduced-fat crescent rolls! :)

Love that last pic!
