Okay, I've got one for ya...

Just a quick reference to my previous post...please keep the questions coming! I really would like to have something to write about that y'all are asking for!

Laura reminded me that I haven't had any school stories lately. Well, that's certainly not for a lack of funny (bizarre) things going on around there. I've just been too worn out to put them down in typed words on here.

So, here goes...not really all that funny, but definitely frustrating! This ought to give y'all a better idea of what I deal with on a daily basis:

Me: "What do we call the meeting in Philadelphia where they wrote the Constitution?"

Them: blank stares and silence

Me: exasperated sigh...

One of them: "Oh! The Constitutional Convention!"

Me: "Yes!" (turning to a different one of them) "What did they do at the Constitutional Convention?"

That one: "Ummm...I don't know."

Me: "Seriously? Didn't you just hear that?"

Long story short...I spent about the next 5 minutes asking those same 2 questions ("What was the meeting called where they wrote the Constitution?" and "What did they do at the Constitutional Convention?") of about 10 different kids in class. I'd say about 8 out of those 10 gave me a bewildered look and shrugged their shoulders. Aaarrgghhhhhh!!!! I seriously want to bang my head on a wall! :(

Oh! I just thought of a funny one, though. This one came from another teacher, about one of the students I have. This particular student has made a complete one-eighty in behavior and work-ethic since last year. It's heartwarming and fun to watch!

Here's what was said:

Kid: "You know Mrs. B...I really like you."

Mrs. B: "Why's that?"

Kid: "'Cause you don't judge me."

Mrs. B: "Well, I try my hardest not to judge anyone."

Kid: "Good. 'Cause only God can judge us. And sometimes I just imagine he's up there pulling his hair out when he watches some of the things I do!"

I just love that! That's coming from a 14-year-old boy! :)

Okay, I realize these aren't my best or funniest school stories, but it's the best I can do right now.

Just thought I'd leave y'all with a couple rare pics of Caddy AND her Momma! :)
