It's official! We have a walker! Caroline FINALLY started experimenting with a few steps last week, but now she's really got the hang of it! She will be 15 months old tomorrow. I guess it's true what they say about every baby/kid doing things at their own pace. I have to admit, though, I feel soooo much better now that she's walking. I had a tiny voice in the back of my head telling me something must be wrong. I was pretty certain that there wasn't, but I guess I always have to worry about something!
In celebration of Caddy's newest skill, we went shoe shopping! And let me tell ya, her new shoes were definitely made for walking. Once I tied up those tiny Nike's, she was OFF! Since they were having buy one, get one half-off at Shoe Carnival, I indulged in both a pair of Nike's AND some really cute little New Balance. She really looks like a girl now, instead of a baby. Happy and sad about this at the same time.

Those are so cute! Parker actually had the gray ones twice! He had a wide foot and they have wides. Of course they will look adorable on her!

Yeah for Caroline!! Watch out...she is on the move! Let all the fun begin!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad to hear Miss Caroline is walking! My sweetie pie will be 14 months at the end of this month and she is showing no interest in walking either. In fact, I feel the same way you do. Especially since EVERY kids her age and even younger are walking. I know I shouldn't rust it, but I really hope she is walking by Christmas. When she starts to walk, we might do the very same thing! HA!
