My girls are really good sleepers and always have been. Caroline had a short period after Mags was born when she didn't want to go to bed or stay there once she was there, but that has long-ago resolved itself. Neither of them started in a bassinet in our room, but slept in their crib from the first night home.
I guess this is why I always feel so defeated and guilty when we let Caroline sleep in our bed on a stormy night or once or twice when she's been sick. Last night she woke up crying that she was scared of something in her room. Very strange for her, since she actually loves her "privacy" and doesn't want anyone to sleep in her bed, and doesn't usually ask to come to ours.
Wish I just didn't let it bother me so much! :(

I'm with ya....wish it didn't bother me so much when my lil' man calls out for me at 5am pretty much every morning.....but this too shall pass. I have to remind myself of that.
ReplyDeleteI have never let my kids sleep in my bed. I was always scared that if you allowed it once, you wouldn't be able to break it. I know some families co-sleep until the children are tweens but I don't think that's good for the child or the parents' marriage. Don't let it bother you!
ReplyDeleteJen, I am so impressed with your weight loss! It's such a hard thing but you are doing great!
ReplyDeleteAnd quit falling behind on your blog reading! I need you, chica! :)
