Well, we have one tired momma...but the party was a smashing success! Okay, so maybe smashing isn't the best word...since Miss Caroline wasn't too into touching (let alone smashing) the cake...but it was a blast anyway!
Here is a quick peek at pics from the day. I didn't really take too many myself, but relinquished control to Jessica Meinardus, whom I hired to shoot the party for me. Let me tell ya, if you've never considered this for a child's birthday, you should! Just think about it...how many people take their own wedding photos??? Nobody! So, on one of the next biggest days of your life, why shouldn't you be able to enjoy yourself and let somebody else capture all the fun! I know this will become a "tradition" for future parties!
(Gotta give a quick shout-out to Amanda at Bibs & Cribs for making Caroline's awesome birthday banner! She also made the cute t-shirt that you'll see her wearing in her wagon on Jessica's blog!

love it!!!!!! the preview pics are fab! caddy was the most precious birthday girl i've ever seen. and you should know ... sophie HATED touching her smash cake too! she wanted nothing to do with it but would gladly take a bite if somebody else fed it to her. too bad she isn't still so obsessed with staying clean. ha! happy birthday caroline!!!!!!!

I was thinking I would have someone do that for Kate's 2nd birthday in October...you just confirmed that for me! THANKS! Also, Kate is not much into being messy/dirty either. We just got home from a 1st Birthday party for Kate's little friend, Ethan...the entire time he was smashing his cake, Kate was saying "eeewwweehhh"! Too funny!

ReplyDeleteThe cake is from Confectionately Yours and the cookies were from Harps and I bagged them. I made the stickers on Photoshop and printed them on shipping labels!
