As I may have mentioned before, I have been “doing” Weight Watchers since the beginning of May. I decided it was time to get rid of all this baby weight, and since my body didn’t seem to respond to low-carbing like it did before babies and the age of 30, I figured I’d give WW a shot. Plus, all the tools and information were online AND on my iPhone, so thought it might not be too hard.
While it’s going a little slower than I’d anticipated, I LOVE it! I started losing pretty quickly (7 lbs in the first 2 weeks), I haven’t really lost more than about 1.5 lbs per week since then. This week was 12 weeks and I finally passed the 20-lb mark. I have actually lost around 45 lbs since the day Maggie was born! Only about 50 more lbs to go until I’m at my pre-Caroline weight!! ;)
Oh, and let me throw in here that I talked husband into doing it with me. He joined on Father’s Day (June 19) and has lost over 20 lbs in about 6 weeks. Damn those guys and their ability to NOT hold on to fat!!
Anyway, on to the reason for this post. I just wanted to share a great website recommended to me by a friend who’s also on WW. It’s called SkinnyTaste and has tons of easy recipes with all the nutritional values and Points+ info listed. I am NOT a cook, but I actually have enjoyed making (and eating) these!
I am posting the pics from the website, since I haven’t always thought to take photos myself.
Click on each picture to go to the recipe…
I made this one with spaghetti instead…
This is what we’re having tonight!
Is there anyone else out there doing Weight Watchers? If so, please share some recipe sites or ideas! :)

I came across this post at just the right time. We are starting Weight Watchers next week.
ReplyDeletecongratulations on the weight loss!!! i will have to check out that website, it all looks delish!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for the website! I am a fellow weight watcher and am always looking for new things. I am down 14 pounds and have 25 more to go. Congratulations on your loss! I don't have any great recipe sites - I check new cookbooks out of the library about every 2 weeks to keep the ideas coming! I hate spending money on cookbooks that I only get a few recipes out of so the library works great for me. Best of luck!
ReplyDeleteI need to! I did so good this Spring and lost 13 lbs. on my own. Since then, I've gained most of it back and feel like a bum! But when you eat cookies and cake all day, it's gonna happen. I need to jump back on the wagon. This is the second weight loss post I've read this morning!
