We Moved!!

I haven't blogged in almost 2 months, but I'm happy to update that since then we've sold our house, survived a 5-week escrow and finally moved into our new home last weekend! On August 13, we we're presented with 2 offers and ultimately accepted a cash offer. The buyers initially asked for a 2 week escrow, but with school starting up, we knew we'd need just a bit longer to get ready for the big move. It flew by. Honestly, it couldn't have gone any smoother than it did. I'm giving lots of credit to good ol' St Joseph, whom we buried in our front flower bed.

I haven't taken any "good" pictures yet with my big camera, but here are some snapshots from Instagram. We still have a ton to unpack and put away, plus tons of empty boxes to clear out of the garage. I'm just so thankful to have a lot more space for our whole family and all of our stuff! We increased our square footage by about 50% and it's fabulous! I also didn't expect to be so emotional about leaning our old house. I can't count how many times I cried last week leading up to moving day, but I can say that I didn't cry at all on the big day. I was amazed by his, but I figure I was probably just too busy and tired!

Still getting in new furniture and trying to decide on arrangement. This is the sitting area we are making in the formal dining room. It's definitely not staying like this.

On the other hand, I think the master bedroom is almost complete. Just need something for the walls now! I'm open to suggestions...

 

I'm excited to get everything else pulled together and to take some pictures with my wide angle lens. I'm happy I've had social media like Instagram and Facebook, though, to share my snapshots and to get others' advice on decorating. :)
