Wow! Time really does fly! Caroline is 1 month old today...and I'm a little sad, but mostly happy. I'm sad because I miss my brand-new baby. But I'm really happy about all the great things that are happening as we go. The biggest of which is her increasing sleep habits. The night before last she slept from 11 pm until 5:30 am!!! And Darren and I have started to sleep in our bed while she sleeps in the nursery. We have a video monitor, and I'm finally comfortable enough to sleep away from her. She's also starting to show some more facial expressions. I'm guessing it'll only be a matter of days before we see a "real" smile...not just a gas-induced smile! She still seems so little to me, though. And people are always surprised to hear how old she is, given how small she is. Her 1-month check-up is Monday, so we'll see how much she weighs. She was 6 lbs 11 oz at birth, lost down to 6 lbs over the first 5 days, and had gained back up to 7 lbs 6 oz by the middle of last week. I'm putting a guess somewhere around 8 lbs (at least) by Monday's check-up. We'll just have to wait and see. She is still way too small for almost all of her clothes. She still has to wear Carters newborn onesies every day. They are much longer and narrower than her other cloths...just like she is!

Has she taken over the house yet? So far Aedyn, has taken over the laundry room with as many times as she decides to pp on her daddy :)
I can't believe she's already a month old! She looks so long in this picture. I bet she's going to be a tall one.
