Caroline and I headed out early this morning (before 8 am!) to go meet up with another blog buddy of ours...Amanda from Bibs & Cribs, and her sweet girly Addison!
We went by my mom's first and picked her up for some breakfast. After a short visit back at her house, we made our way over to Amanda's. The girls had a little time to play (you know how much kiddos LOVE to play with other kiddos' toys!), and then we went for lunch. Like Amanda mentioned after lunch was almost over, we probably should have just gotten take-out and eaten at her place, since the girlies were not into sitting still and eating. We had a really good time chatting and getting to know each other, but the girls definitely took up a lot of our energy! I guess it takes a while for girls to start enjoying lunch dates out with friends! :)
I also just have to say how fun it is to meet people in "real life" that I've met on my blog. I've had a few "run-ins" with local bloggers like Heather (whose husband we found out already knew mine) and Jenna (who I ran into at Wal-Mart!).
Then last month and again last week, I got to spend some time with Kristy and her little mini-me girls, Keira and Kinley.
While I was at Amanda's today, her husband dropped in during lunch and we realized that we recognized each other from school...we had gone to the same elementary, junior high and high school. What a small world it is!
Amanda also made Caroline's birthday banner...but I'm not gonna reveal that just yet. You'll have to wait until after her party next weekend to see how cute it is! However, I will show you a sneak peek at one of the fabrics she used...since she made a cute little tee for Caroline using the leftover! I love it! I also incorporated the fabric pattern into her party invitations!
Thanks again, Amanda and Addison for a fun afternoon! Here's a quick pic of the almost-birthday girl wearing her cute new t-shirt! :)
