What’s up…

I’m facing the sad fact that my summer vacation is speeding by faster than I would like, just like it does every year.  Three and a half weeks have already passed.  That just makes me sad. :(

So, what have we been up to?  Not much…and a whole bunch…at the same time.  I posted some photos a couple weeks ago of our little trip to St. Louis.  We have also been to the pool a few times.  Caroline will take swim lessons next month.  Some other (more personal) things have been going on for a while, but I’m just not ready to share that.

Then, for some reason I’m not sure of, Darren decided last week that we should go look at new cars.  We went out Wednesday night and just walked around the lot, looking through windows and kicking tires (so to speak).  Thursday morning, we drove down to our favorite dealership and looked a little closer in the showroom.  Caroline was SO well-behaved!  We even moved her carseat, so she could go on the test-drive with us.  After coming home to talk it over, we went back that afternoon and picked up our new car!

Though I loved my big, white Tahoe, it was just too hard to get Caroline in and out of it.  I could hop up in it with no problem, but hauling a 30-pounder into her carseat was getting harder every day.  This Acadia is a little lower and the door opening is bigger.  MUCH easier access!  And, surprisingly, it has about the same amount of cargo space and the 3rd-row seats are actually usable…you don’t have to sit with your knees in your chest back there.  We LOVE our pretty new “Big Red Car”…that’s a Wiggles song, in case you don’t have kids! :)  Speaking of which, I have to take it back tomorrow morning to get the DVD players installed in the headrests.  Caroline hasn’t realized her “movies” are missing yet, but she will eventually throw a fit so bad, that only The Wiggles will cure it! :)

I’m also excited because this is my first car that I got every “bell and whistle” that I wanted!       I simply ♥♥♥ this car!

Oh, and we also went to Tulsa to see Michael Buble’ last night!  I didn’t get any pictures, but it was incredible.  I did get a couple of videos with my iPhone, though.  Please excuse the poor quality, but I think the sound was okay.

His opening act was also incredible!  They are called Naturally 7, and every sound you hear from them comes from their mouths!!  All the instruments are vocal!

I’ll close with a few cute photos of my sweet girl. :)
