I just know y'all have been sitting on the edges of your seats all week waiting to see what happened in my closet, right?
So, I think I told y'all that the 70(!) pairs of shoes went to Goodwill. But I got a good tip from a church friend that I should take the clothes to a "clothes closet" that is Catholic-run and, even better than Goodwill, gives all their donations away for free! Also, I got a request from my sweet blog friend Kristy to "yard-sale" some of them to her! :) I saved the best for her...well, at least the best of what I could stand to part with! Sadly, there is still a large amount in the closet that doesn't fit (yet) that I just couldn't say goodbye to.
So...lest you forget the horror that my closet was "before"...here's one more shot of that...
And now I will shock (and awe) you with the "after" pics...
These are the things that don't technically fit me (well, of course, except the lovely maternity waistband that's sticking out there...how'd that get in there?)...but ya just never know...
The stuff to go to the clothes closet! And the cordless power drill that allowed me to hang wonderful hooks in my closet on which to organize all my purses and other assorted crap!
Need a hanger...or 50?

The awesome Kristy herself (and me) at our first in-real-life meeting on Wednesday! It was so much fun to meet somebody I already felt like I know...not weird or awkward...just like reconnecting with an old friend. Can't wait to do it again some time! :)
I have to say, I feel quite relieved to have that whole closet mess finally cleared up...now I just need to clean up the bathroom in which that closet is located! It became a mess as the closet got tidier! :) And unfortunately, there's lots more tidying to do around this house!

Wow! It looks great! I tell you, I was (am) in this weird phase that I'm pretty sure every new mom through. I finally decided since I'm a new mommy I need to start looking like one and not a "hoochie mama". This means, get rid of all the clothes that are inappropriate for a mother to wear (like from college). I donated sooooo much stuff, mostly all clothes that were too tight or just didn't fit me right. I guess you could say I'm in the in-between stage: I don't want to look like a college student, but at the same time I don't want to look like a 50 year old either! Ha! Good luck with your bathroom!

Wow! You got rid of alot too :) Good job! One thing I haven't done is hang some stuff on the wall to organize all my purses and scarves.
