I finally did it!

I actually sewed a "garment" with my sewing machine! Something other than a burp cloth or a binky clip or a ribbon keychain! I made a little "pillowcase" dress for Caroline...It was super-easy, too! It's not actually made of a pillowcase, but the same technique is used as if I really did use one.

You can be assured that you'll see plenty more of these cute little dresses as the weather warms up!

Here's what it looks like laid out flat...

with the fabric gathered...

the coordinating ribbon that I made a hairbow with...

And on the model herself!

she's lost interest...

We had several strings of thunderstorms come through our area today/tonight, and this is a pic of Daddy and Caddy watching the rain from the front porch...in, of course, my fave colors of navy and green!

  4. I can't believe you made that...well actually, I guess I can because you're so darn craftsy now!!! I have no hope of ever catching up to you, but if I do have a girl someday, I'll pay you for sewing lessons so I can save money on clothes/bows. :)

  9. Oh my gosh Jennifer, I have scrapbooking paper that I bought that matches the fabric for the dress exactly! That's hilarious! It's at Hobby Lobby.
