I am a navy blue kind of person. I feel like it describes who I am. Simple (not in the stupid way), conservative, classic and "goes" with almost everything. Just think about how great navy looks with any color you can think of...green (from kelly to lime), pink (from pale to hot), yellow, orange, white...
I love the navy and green combination so much that it was almost the color scheme of Caroline's nursery. I'm not really sure why I didn't do it after all...except maybe I didn't find just the "right" bedding. Although, in hindsight, I should have just done it, since I had her bedding custom-made anyway! (Great, now I'm gonna think about that all day!)
So, in honor of my latest facelift, I though I'd share a few of my favorite navy-colored items!
This sweet little dress is from Gymboree. I like it, but I absolutely LOVE this print on Caddy's new little swimsuit!! For some reason, there is not a pic of it on their website. You'll just have to imagine the absolute cuteness of a tiny halter-tied, navy/daisy print baby swimsuit with ruffles on the leg openings! I'll be sure to post pics when she wears it!
So where the HECK was this when I was shopping for Caddy's nursery? Navy with green turtles...an absolute classic!
I whipped up this dandy purse at 1154 Lill Studio! I love this place...you can design your own purse online, or at one of their stores...the closest to us is in Kansas City. SOOOO much fun!
I need another diaper bag like a hole in the head (or another purse), but I'm sooo tempted to take advantage of the sale that Gap.com has on this cutie! Maybe...

Kelly green is my favorite color and looks great on me, but everything you said about navy blue pretty much covers it...good thing they go together so well! :0)
ReplyDeleteI was just showing Garrett the St. Patrick's Day photos of Caroline and he smiled so big. I said, "Look, she's sticking her tongue out at you!" His reply? "Well, I'll stick my tongue out at her..." and he did! Followed by a huge grin, of course!
I know its girly....but pink is my absolute favorite color. If I could have everything pink I would (dh might have something to say about that).
