Me: "What are the leaders of the cabinet departments called?"
Them: (silence...)
Me: "Okay, I'll tell you. They are called 'Secretary'." (mind you, we'd specifically covered this already and they had answered this question on a reading assignment last week...but that's beside the point)
So what would you call the leader of the Department of State?
Them: (silence...puzzled looks)
Me: The answer is "Secretary of State".
Them: "Ohhh..."
Me: "Okay...so what would you call the leader of the Department of the Interior?" (seems obvious, right??)
One of them: "Secretary of State?"

I am right there with you... but I think mine is 24-25 years?? Ooooooh that seems like a looong time.
