I totally did not realize the "magic" bink rode all the way on the footrest. It's "magic" because it actually hasn't disappeared yet. It's the longest-surviving, fully-intact bink we have! It really should not leave the house.
before Photoshop...

The awesome sunglasses didn't last past the end of the block...
So modest, my child...
Now...here's what the post is really about!
We took a little day trip over to Tulsa to look for an umbrella stroller at Babies 'R Us. Some people wondered if we didn't have umbrella strollers in our town. The answer is "yes" we do, but they are not made for people over 5'5"! I'm 5'7" and hubby is 6'4". That's not gonna work!
We started our Tulsa time at the incredibly delicious Ted's Cafe Escondido!
Here is dessert. My complimentary sopapilla (sp?) is on the left. They brought Caroline the little baby ones on the right. Did they NOT see me feeding her baby food at the beginning of our meal?? Did they really think she was gonna gum down some cinammon-sugary, fried dough? It was a sweet gesture, but it didn't really go anywhere. I picked off a tiny little piece to try to feed her in front of the waitress so she wouldn't feel bad. It came back out, though, because it didn't simply dissolve like her beloved "puffs".
I couldn't resist a picture of this Barnes & Noble.
This is the exact place we were at when we got the call that we were PREGNANT!!
And here is what we came for! We finally decided on this Graco Ipo umbrella stroller. The handles on it are the same height as our big stroller, so it is perfect for both of us. And our feet don't hit the wheels when we walk...another plus! And it fully reclines, in case Caddy falls asleep! I love it!

pretty sure i'm drooling over those sopapillas...ted's is in my top 3 favorite restaurants ever. i am slightly obsessed! whenever i hear someone say they're eating there, my meals are just not as good for several days because i'm not eating ted's! :) hope you guys are doing good. we should all get together this summer!
ReplyDeleteLike the stroller and Caroline looks like she really enjoyed that nice Spring walk! Gosh, she is getting SO BIG!!
ReplyDeleteI guess I'm gonna have to break down and get another, taller umbrella stroller for Dan's sake. Our "limo" model is already too short for him, and the 10.00 cheapo from Wally-world is almost too short for me. Wonder if I could order one online?
ReplyDeleteI love the new pics. She is so stylish in her shades.
ReplyDeleteHow funny that they brought her sopapillas! The picture of you giving her a bite is so funny! Glad you found a stroller that works for you!!
ReplyDeleteLove, love, love Ted's! I love it! In fact, I have a vendor that I work with that drives down from Tulsa about once a month and I always request that he bring me some queso. I am LOVE that photoshop pic of Sweet Caroline in her stroller. You did a GREAT job with it! well, really, all the pics are super cute b/c you have such a cute subject!
