Christmas Card Carousel...

This isn't my actual card (actually, I should say cards, because I ordered 3 styles), but I whipped one up with the help of Scrapblog! These are some of the same pics I used, though, on our actual cards...which have yet to be addressed and mailed...darned working-motherhood! I used to get cards out during the first week of December!

enjoy! and share the love..."send" your card, too!

  1. Cute, cute!! You can do so many things on the darn computer these days...guess that's why I'm a bit addicted...ok, maybe I have a problem.

In response to you comment: I wish everyone could be home with us all day...I do feel very lucky to get to be with Kate all day and do extra things with her! HOwever, it has its drawbacks too. Like, maybe we could up our price range on our house hunt...or maybe I could get those Ugg boots that I would have just gone out and gotten last season. And, the big one is that I always wonder if Kate has enough contact with other children...I'm terrified she might not be "socialized" enough. Not that I would ever trade this time for material posessions....I am just saying that every positive comes with a negative and vice versa.

Oopsie, I still haven't done my "tag" thing. Gosh...slow poke!!

  5. Hi Jen!!

When Kate was Caroline's age, we called the little rings and birds that hung from her gym-thing her friends...she really wasn't attached to anything. Although, she did already have a fondness for Sophie...try that one. It's a French toy that is almost 50 years old and supposedly all French children grow up with one. Also, Kate didn't like tummy-time at all...in fact, she still really doesn't like being on her tummy once she is finished with her new tricks (all fours and making a bridge). We would let her lay on our chests and look at us and that would be her tummy time. I can't remember exactly when she rolled over, but it was early (like 3 1/2 months) and she only did it for like TWO days and then forgot until she hit almost 5 months. Brad and I were just talking about how it seemed like she did nothing until she hit 5 months and then it was like an explosion of new skills. However, all babies move at totally different paces so Caroline may hit that explosion before or after. My super-brilliant niece (she's 6 and reading fluently with an amazing vocab and q very active little gal) didn't even begin to walk until she was almost 16 months old....so the books aren't always on target. It's hard not to compare though. I do love these blogs because I get to see what other babies Kate's age are doing and it gives me good ideas to work on with her. Fun, fun!!

Also, Kate didn't like her Bumbo either until recently. She will still only stay in it for 15 minutes or less because she'd rather just sit up on her own. I don't really know when she learned to sit up b/c I just sat her down one day and she stayed there...it was crazy!!

Just wait, Caroline will have an explosion of activity. It seems like it happens overnight though...we sure didn't see it coming!!

Caroline sure is a cutie-pie! I just want to squeeze those cheeks!!
