I realized I probably sounded pretty desperate in my last post from last night. Oops! I just would like to hear from all the interesting people who check us out, so I can check them out, too. Don't get me wrong, I lurk on others' blogs, too...but I'm making a concerted effort to "meet" them by leaving a comment. Anyway, enough of sounding like a loser...

I have absolutely NO patience today! I feel bad because I have been very short and sarcastic with my kids lately. My school kids, that is. I even had a girl tell me the other day "you always be so sarcastic". Ooh, that hurts! (see, there I go!) I need to try to focus and just be kind, right? Well, that's easier said than done. Pray for me.

The title of this post could also apply to Caroline! She has found her voice, as Darren likes to say. She "talks" (read screams) all the time these days. It's hilarious! I'm planning to post a video of it on here, if I can figure out how to do that!

I don't have a good picture to go with my "Talkative Thursday" title, so I'll just post some random stuff I found in some folders...

Yes, this will be in front of my house until New Year's Day
(I know it's tacky, but I couldn't resist!)

I did not take this picture. I don't know these people. I got this in an e-mail...the photo is titled "Genius" and I think it's hilarious...
This is me in 2006...before fertility drugs and pregnancy. I used to be (relatively) skinny and very tan. This will never be again...and it makes me very sad :(

***Just had to add this*** This morning when I was commenting on a friend's blog, the "random" letters that came up on the little "word recognition" thing were BLESS!!!!! Somehow, that didn't feel very random to me! :)

If they be anybody mo sarcastic then you, then it be me, Sis! You know, that's our MO...it's what we're known for. And, can I just say, that our students will never misunderstand the literary device of sarcasm...they're all over it!
ReplyDeleteI'm at home recovering. Linda found me a sub for the afternoon and I could not be more grateful! Just resting uninterrupted is wonderful...
If you think you're sad over your body, try being the whitest white girl who never was that skinny...
It's all good. Caroline and the boys are worth it! :0)
Hey Jen! I like Talkative Thursday so much better too!
ReplyDeleteAva is screaming these days too - loud shrieks! What's the deal? If those two are anything like us, they might get in trouble for talking when they are in school!
Yes, Jerl Dean is from Springdale! Were you friends with Chris or Jon?? Those are her two sons! If so, what a small world!!! One of my best friends, Emily, is married to Jon. They are the ones who take our pictures for us!!
Hi Jen, I got your sweet message, and yes, the santa at the NWA mall is the best! You will have to make a stop there! :) Your caroline is precious!!
