I will play Christmas "show-and-tell" at a later time...but for now, I just have to brag on my wonderful mother-in-law (I know...an oxymoron for many of you out there!).I am thankful that this sweet woman raised such a loyal, caring, loving, hard-working son.
I am thankful that she is retired and still wants to "work"...meaning she is our full-time babysitter/housekeeper! :)
I am thankful that she would do anything in the world to make her family happy!
I just had to show off the beautiful diamond pendant that she gave to both my sister-in-law and myself. She said it was for all our hard work this year...we each gave birth to our first babies. Caroline came in August, and was her first grandchild and first granddaughter. Hunter came in November, and was her first grandson.
Isn't it nice to know there's a woman out there who believes childbirth should be rewarded with diamonds?
I think it's even nicer that I'm related to her! :)

You are very lucky. My MIL/FIl didn't even send a gift to Brennan.
ReplyDeleteHe is about a month ahead of Caroline but she is so much bigger. His due date was Aug. 6 but was born July 9th.
And I think she totally looks like you!
Happy New Year.
Lucky duck!
ReplyDeleteMy late father-in-law gave me and my SILs jewelry every year.
I'm not even going to go there about my MIL....
SWEET! My mo-in-law gave the "family" a Wii...which is fine, except I've already become a statistic...I'm injured by overextending my right upper arm muscle playing tennis. AND...I got beat by a three year old who had no idea what he was doing! Oh yeah, and there is that sweater that needs to be returned and the navy blue socks in my stocking...nice...
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful gift! And not just the necklace, but having such a wonderful MIL!
ReplyDeletehow awesome is that to have a mother in law to think of you in that way. I hope Caroline had a blast, I know you guys enjoyed having her. It makes all the difference in the world having alittle one at Christmas.
